Make It a Habit

Repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, which makes it the architect of accomplishment.
- Zig Ziglar
To grow, improve, and get more done, you need to raise your standards: add to your list, learn new skills, get started. But you've already got more on your plate than feels manageable. How are you supposed to add more?
Baby steps.
You crawl. You accumulate practice. You start walking, gain experience, take bigger steps, pick up the pace, jog, run, and before long, the daily stroll is just part of the day. You're not even thinking about it.
That new task on your desk (the one you've never done before, the one that's supposed to be ongoing) feels awkward. Cumbersome. It eats into time you used for other things.
But don't worry. It won't stay that way.
After the second time. The third. The fourth. It becomes regular, easier, faster. You'll do it with your eyes closed, and it won't require much planning.
So don't fret about the new thing. You might even end up having fun with it.
