Rising to New Standards

Rising to New Standards

Whether it's personal or for the team, the goal is to keep running while making sure there are ongoing improvements, even when the latest campaign missed, the results weren't what you hoped, or nothing went according to plan.

You want to look back and see progress. You want to see that you've gotten better at [fill in the blank].

Expect things to go sideways. Expect failure alongside the wins. That's a given. But that doesn't mean you can't learn from both, sharpen how you interpret them, and decide what to carry forward.

This is a constant process. And the good news: as long as you accept things as they come and keep pushing to improve, you're setting new standards without even realizing it.

You assess your situation. You see where the baseline is: in deliverables, knowledge, results. You build on that baseline. You hit it. Then you elevate it to a new standard. Then a new one. Then another.

And one day you'll look back at the hill you've passed and the mountain you climbed.

You've grown. You've matured. You've risen to a new standard.

And now there's a new one to rise to.
