Now That Was Fun

Now That Was Fun

Not every task is fun, exciting, intriguing, personality-building, or inspiring.

...but checking off the mundane, tedious, boring ones?

That IS fun.

We can complain about the tasks we hate, or we can find something worth enjoying in those marketing headaches. We can worry about a few mistakes we've made, or we can accept them, move on, and learn from them. We can shut down suggestions and go it alone, or we can recognize that great ideas and great copy can come from anywhere and anyone, and actually appreciate the team for it.

There are plenty of opportunities to resent the work, dodge a task, and quietly spiral on a daily basis.

Or we can shift the angle. Let go a little. Focus on whatever might actually be worth enjoying: working alongside a specific colleague, digging into an area you'd never explored before, picking up a new skill or tool along the way. Or maybe just crossing the task off so you can move on to something better.

Now that would be fun. Wouldn't it?
